If You want to figure out your purpose you first need to consider what are you’re passions.
Your passions are your desires and they have to do with your gifts.
If you look for the definition of passion you will find they are related to strong emotions such as love as we see in these articles:
What is Passion? It’s a strong emotion
How to Find Your Passion. Find what you love doing
What you love doing is the same as what do you like…
So What Do You Like Doing?
I like to relate passion to your interests, talents, hobbies, and things you like to do.
Here’s some of the things I like:
- I like to ride horses.
- I like to read
- I like to eat chicken
- I like to write
- I like to give gifts
- I like public speaking
- I like helping others
- I like to help others discover their passion
Now tell me what you like. If you know what you like to do, say or think then you’re one step closer to discovering your purpose in life.
(I’d love to hear what you like to do in the comment section below)
Your passion will always be something you enjoy. Your purpose will also be enjoyable.
You’ll almost never find that your purpose in life is something that bores you or something you dislike doing. You will be passionate about it.
So how do you figure out your purpose?
Here’s a good starting point.
Find your passion.
What are you passionate about? I’m talking about the gifts and desires you have.
Find your niche.
Some of the most successful people I know are people who have discovered their niche in life. They know how to apply their likes, desires, gifts and talents to a specific area and they succeed in it.
When you get to know the things you like and enjoy doing, you’re well on your way to a more fulfilled lifestyle.
Your passion will lead you to your purpose.
