Fame- I was thinking of all the Words that begin with the letter “P” that describe fame and would like to get your opinion about if you think it is wrong to want to become famous.
5 “P”s of Fame and Success
1. Power
2. Prestige
3. Popularity
4. and how about this one… Politics
5. Continue reading to see what it is..
Do you want to be famous?
Is there anything wrong with desiring to be powerful, prestigious, or popular?
I think it all boils down to the motives of your heart.
You can use your power and popularity for either good purposes promoting Godly principles or for bad purposes promoting your own agenda or the politics of this world.
One of the greatest problems on this earth is that of corrupt leadership. When we think of corruption we usually think of governments or political leaders., but corrupt leaders can be found in all walks of our lives…
- Sports
- Media and Entertainment
- Schools
- Businesses
- Charities
- and even in our own Family.
It’s even more disheartening to find manipulative and ungodly leaders in Church organizations.
“I Want To Be The President”
When you ask a child what he wants to be when he grows up and he replies he wants to be the President of his Country is that bad?
Of course not, It exemplifies ambition and vision.
His motives are purer because he doesn’t fully understand politics, influence and leadership. He probably does understand that the President is popular and on TV. What child doesn’t want to be popular among his peers. It’s a natural ambition. It’s only distorted when becoming popular is used in an incorrect manner.
Are You a Leader?
Leaders are influential. Darren Rowse at Problogger just asked the question, “Do you want to have Influence or Fame?”
I believe that we should all strive to becomes leaders. We should acknowledge that people are looking at us and that we influence others in some way rather we realize it or not.
So is it wrong to want to become famous? I say No. Not if we have pure motives.
The World is desperately in need of men and women of integrity who exemplify morality, values, and character. We need Godly leaders to combat the influence of corrupt leadership.
Christians and Politics
When I was young someone told me to stay away from the topics of religion and politics and I’d avoid problems. That person was partially right. There certainly are problems when it comes to religion and politics; There are plenty of hypocrites in both of these arenas. But that’s exactly why you and I need to stand up to the plate and enter into leadership positions in these areas. We should be an example.
I am all for A Christians entering into politics.
I understand that when you’re in a position of power, everything someone enters the door to your office there is an opportunity presented to you either to make a good decision or a wrong decision.
There is nothing wrong with Fame, we just need to use the “p”s that I presented- Power, Prestige, Popularity, Politics in a correct manner. We need to be men o f women of integrity and Godly influence.
Fame Success and Purpose
This brings me to the final “P” when it comes to Success through fame-
Purpose.
If we use our Fame for completing God’s purpose for our lives we will be successful indeed.
So what do YOU think?

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting these things. Once you have them, however, it’s a daily struggle not to believe your own press.
